About Olivia
I have been teaching singing privately to pupils of all ages and levels for several years, as well as enjoying a busy performance career. I find that being a regular performer myself is very important when imparting knowledge and advice to my students because I want to teach you more than just the mechanics of singing - I want to teach you to be an artist and to express YOUR unique voice and personality. I work on vocal technique, drama and language, and have worked with children, teenagers, and adults - both those hoping to sing professionally and enthusiastic amateurs! As for my performance experience: I began taking singing lessons at 13 years old after joining the school choir in secondary school, and adored the process of training my voice. In my teens, I performed in concerts as a soloist and also in a few musical theatre roles, most notably Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. At University I studied French and Italian at UCL, whilst also continuing my vocal studies privately and performing regularly as a concert soloist and with the UCOpera company. I was then accepted to the Morley Opera School where I trained for a year, and then earned my MA in Vocal Performance at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève in Geneva, graduating in 2017. I have since gone on to perform with the opera houses of Geneva, Lausanne and Lucerne, the Opera House of Zrenjanin in Serbia, the Jeunesses Musicales Opera Studio (Croatia), London Grimeborn Festival, and have been a featured soloist at such concert venues as the Berlin Philharmonic, the BFM in Geneva, the Cologne Philharmonic, and St Johns Smith Square in London. Good singing is about solid and healthy vocal technique, a good feeling for music, self-expression and confidence! I would love to work with you to build all of these parts of yourself and to see where your voice takes you.

If you are interested in singing for fun, or dream of a career on the stage, I would love to help you to reach your potential! We will start with a fun warmup and some technical exercises to help you gradually get to grips with the anatomical alignment of the voice and use your entire body as an instrument. For our first lesson, I will get to know your voice and can recommend repertoire going forward, so we will then work on songs together, in classical or musical theatre style. If you have already got some experience of singing and already have songs that you are working on or would like to look at together, we can do this from the first lesson. If you are interested in completing ABRSM exams, I am able to guide you through this, and if you aim to audition for conservatoires or companies, I can train you for this process also. I would love to help you to fulfil your own vocal potential, whatever your personal aims are. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

I take classical singing lessons with her and my 13 years old daughter takes pop singing lessons with her, and Olivia is as wonderful in the 2 genres. She finds in no time the exercises exactly right for placing your voice. She is also so nice and caring !

Olivia is honestly such a lovely tutor. She immediately made me feel at ease with her warm personality, is so patient with me and is always encouraging and supportive. Im naturally a shy person but i instantly came out of my shell as i felt so comfortable working with her. She has so much knowledge and experience and takes pride in her work. Id 100% recommend Olivia.
I cannot recommend Olivia highly enough. She is utterly dedicated to her craft and is not only organised, friendly and approachable but also extremely talented. I have had the privilege of working with her on numerous occasions over the past 5 years and every time she has brought the same consistent level of professionalism. She is an outstanding tutor.
Olivia started teaching Matteo since early 2014. Being a 15 year old boy, he was originally quite shy when it came to his singing abilities, however since Olivia started tutoring him his voice and confidence have blossomed and the improvement in him has been amazing. As well as his initial confidence issues, she also had to deal with Matteo's voice breaking and gave him a world of advice to practice and adapt to this problem. Olivia has helped Matteo discover his new baritone register, something he would not have been able to do without her and overall I feel extremely lucky to have found a gem like Olivia and would have no reservations in recommending her to help others as much as she has helped Matteo.
