About Zoé
My name is Zoé. I am currently studying social sciences. I am doing a dual degree (Sciences Po Paris & La Sorbonne) thanks to which I can study economics and philosophy. I am studying at UNSW for an exchange year. I am a very opened person and a great listener ! Passionate about arts and literature I love to help others when I can. For this reason, three years ago I decided to become a tutor. I love to teach because I see it as en exchange where I can provide answers and share my knowledge but also learn from my students and their personality. Teaching is for me all about transmitting but also and particularly listening to a need and understand someone else. I find this ability essential in life and particularly enriching !

For a student who now has been a private tutor for over 3 years, I have developed a specific method to help efficiently and provide a clear answer to my students. After having determined a difficulty or a task to do, we see together what part of the class we should go over together so that I can provide a deeper explanation, highlighted with examples. Then, when it comes to practise, I provide key methods points to propose to my students a line to follow. Finally, and because tutoring is all about exchanging and listening to my students in order to precisely help them, I propose different ressources so that the student can exercise himself properly. This includes answerning any questions, doubts or difficulties in a safe space where my students feel comfortable talking about what they don’t completely understand.
