About Joy
With more than 11 years of experience, I specialise in teaching singing to college students, helping them improve both technical skills and artistic expression. I focus on breath control, pitch, vocal tone, and range while encouraging creativity, individuality, and performance confidence.
My lessons combine traditional methods with interactive exercises such as vocal improvisation, recording feedback, and real-song practice. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style, ensuring steady progress while making learning fun.
Performance readiness is an important part of my teaching. I guide students in stage presence, expressive delivery, and self-confidence for recitals, competitions, and auditions. Music theory and ear training are also included to strengthen their musical foundation.
I encourage students to explore different genres and develop their unique voice. My philosophy emphasises patience, encouragement, and accountability, creating a supportive and motivating learning environment.
