About Ray
I'm Ray, a University of Sydney student who achieved Band 6 for HSC Chemistry, ranking top 5 in my cohort across Years 7–12. I'm currently studying at USyd with a strong foundation in science, and I tutor both HSC and junior science (Years 7–10).
My style is patient and flexible — I meet students where they are, not where I expect them to be. I use a mix of notes, diagrams, and practice questions to make complex concepts stick, and I adjust my pace session-to-session based on your progress.

Lessons follow the NSW syllabus and can cover any of the 8 HSC Chemistry modules. I'm comfortable working through theory, practicals, and exam-style questions. For junior students, I cover general science and build the foundations needed for senior years.
Lessons run 1–2 hours. Students are welcome to bring past papers, assignment questions, or specific topics they want to focus on — I'll structure the session around whatever is most useful.

Cancellation & No-Show Policy:
No-Show 100% of the session rate applies if the student is not present within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, with no prior notice given.
Late Cancellation (< 24 hours notice)
• Genuine emergency (illness, family crisis, etc.) — 0% charge, once per term as a goodwill waiver. Subsequent emergencies: 50%.
• Low-effort reason (forgot, overslept, clash with something else) — 100% charge.
• No reason given — treated as no-show: 100%.
Short Notice Reschedule (< 24 hours)
If the student wants to reschedule rather than cancel, a 25% inconvenience fee applies — waived if the new session is booked within 48 hours.
Acceptable Cancellation (≥ 24 hours) No charge. Reschedule encouraged
