About Daniel
I am professional engineer (Kenya) who has worked in the construction and engineering sector for the last 8 years. I have been involved in complex projects such as bridges, multistory buildings, roads, warehouses, and municipal projects. Often, these projects have called upon me to think for solutions out of the box (book) and this is what I bring to the table. I have also mentored dozens of university graduates during their internships.
Before becoming and engineer, I worked as an untrained teacher for two years and I hold passing knowledge as my biggest achievement in life.
I hold a BSc Civil Engineering (Second class upper) from Kenyatta University and I am a recipient of the Langalanga scholarship for my high school and university education.

I take students through problems by breaking down concepts to small bits. I typically use real life experiences and examples to explain the usually abstract concepts such as fractions, cross sections etc. I like to give learners ideas as they think through the questions on the table just to give them a spark and let them own the solution. In my teaching, I like to rely less on complicated formulas but more on the basic formulas that derive them. My target audience is diploma, high school and middle school learners.
