About Emma
As a high school straight-A student who plays on the varsity soccer team and has big goals for the future, I’ve always been someone who takes learning seriously — but I also believe that learning should be enjoyable.
I speak 5 languages and have traveled to over 40 countries, experiences that have made me curious about different cultures and passionate about learning.
I’ve also had tutors throughout my life, so I’ve experienced both the amazing ones and the ones who made learning feel like a chore. I know how frustrating it can be when a tutor doesn’t listen, moves too quickly, or simply makes you feel like you’re not good at something.
I want to be the kind of tutor who does the opposite. I’ll be patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in your progress. I’ll listen to what works for you, celebrate your improvements, and never make you feel embarrassed about making mistakes.

Hi! I’m Emma, and my goal is to make every lesson something you actually look forward to. I’ve had tutors throughout my life, so I know how boring and repetitive lessons can sometimes feel. I want to take what I’ve learned from those experiences and create lessons that are fun, engaging, and personal.
We’ll mix conversation, games, questions, real-life examples, reading, and writing instead of just memorizing from a worksheet. I’ll adjust each lesson to your level, interests, and goals, because everyone learns differently.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review, followed by something new and interactive. We’ll practice together, ask questions, and finish by reviewing what we learned.
Since I lived in Amsterdam for two years and attended a Dutch school, I can also bring Dutch culture, everyday expressions, and fun facts into our lessons. My goal is simple: learn, have fun, and leave each lesson knowing something new!
