Mark has been tutoring my son in Chemistry (A level) for the last 12 months. He is always extremely pleasant, polite and courteous, reliable, well prepared and organised. Mark is very good at explaining complex concepts in an easy to understand way which has helped my son become much more confident in the subject. He is very accommodating and will always help in any way he can. It is a pleasure to have Mark as a tutor and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Mark tutored our eldest daughter in Chemistry once a week for approximately four months leading up to her A levels which she took in the summer of 2015. Her Chemistry mock result at school had been a disappointingly low C and she needed a B to gain a place at her first choice of university in London to study Pharmacology. She felt that Chemistry was the most difficult of her A level subjects and she particularly struggled with aspects of Organic Chemistry but Mark taught her various methods until they found one that best suited her. Her A level result was a jump up to a high B.

Our second child missed a lot of school due to some serious health issues during her GCSE year (2016) Her Science grades for her mocks suffered as a consequence, so we approached Mark once again for tuition in double award GCSE Science. My daughter was getting good grades for her course work and homework, but Ds and Es very time she did a test or exam.
Mark is a calm, warm and friendly person who explains things clearly and in detail. If one method does not appear to be working, then he will always try another way. Both of our daughters looked forward to his sessions as they both felt they were gaining knowledge and practising essential exam technique not really taught in school.We would all recommend Mark highly as an excellent tutor, whose services we will indeed call on again if our son needs help for A level Sciences which he plans to take next academic year!
