Lesson plan for tutoring:
I will begin each session by thoroughly reviewing the student's needs and preparing relevant materials, including practice problems and online tools like Desmos or a virtual whiteboard. I will test the technology beforehand to ensure a smooth session. To start the lesson, I will use a warm-up activity to review previous concepts and gauge the student's current understanding. I will clearly state the learning objectives for the session so the student knows what we aim to achieve. During the main portion of the lesson, I will explain new concepts clearly and concisely, using visual aids and real-world examples. I will work through interactive examples together, encouraging student participation. I will then guide the student through practice problems, offering support and feedback while encouraging independent thinking. I will adapt my instruction to the student's pace and understanding, providing additional explanation or practice as needed. To assess understanding, I will assign independent practice problems and review them together, providing constructive feedback. I will summarize the key concepts covered during the session. Finally, I will assign homework to reinforce learning, schedule the next session, and encourage the student to provide feedback and ask any remaining questions.
