About Megan
I am a qualified secondary school English teacher, and have an MA TESOL degree as well. I have spent 15 years in classrooms teaching native speakers of English, and a further 10 years in multicultural ESL classrooms in the Middle East. Here, I taught students from 52 different countries, so the chances are I’ve already taught someone from your country! When I became interested in tutoring IELTS students, I attended training and qualified as an IELTS examiner (Speaking and Writing). Although I am no longer an active examiner, the knowledge and experience I have gained in these various educational scenarios has equipped me to deliver excellent tutoring sessions to students who wish to improve their chances of achieving higher band-scores in the IELTS test.

I tutor using a series of specially developed PowerPoint presentations which I created to deliver the content in a concise and interesting way. Once an online session has concluded, the students will receive a copy of the PowerPoint presentation for further review, as well as appropriate exercises that will offer practice opportunities and consolidate what has been learnt in the online sessions. All aspects of the IELTS test are covered, the format of each test, the assessment criteria, and the skills and strategies required in this series of PowerPoint Presentations.
