About Ariana
Hello!
My name is Ariana and I am a Hatha Vinyasa and Functional Yin Yoga teacher.
I started practicing yoga about 10 years ago, probably with the same goal as you, to improve my physical and mental health. In my case, I came from a very passive and negative period and I ended up falling in love with the impact that yoga had on me, so I left everything to become a teacher.
I began my journey at the International Yoga School, getting my diploma, first as an instructor and then as a teacher with 400 certified hours. I was very impressed by the philosophy associated with the practice and, in fact, it set a certain precedent, since in my classes I usually recite koans, poems, phrases... that remember these traditional philosophical bases.
Some time later, I noticed that students came to my classes with a lot of pressure to move forward, frustrated with their bodies because they had certain ailments or because they couldn't keep up with the pace of classes where they felt overworked and/or ignored.
This inspired me to learn more about anatomy, biomechanics, joint mobilization....
And at this point, Yin Yoga appeared with its functional approach, where I ended up understanding that each one of us is different and that the practice must adapt to that individuality instead of avoiding it with the same postures for everyone. One doesn't fit all
I tried it and verified it in my personal practice with such good results that I decided to train with Kathy Paez, assistant to Paul Grilley, creator of Functional Yin Yoga.
And little by little, I developed my own methodology, combining the teachings of Hatha Vinyasa and Yin Yoga with all the experience that I had from facing specific situations of students with ailments that they saw as limitations, and that I wanted to refocus as possibilities towards a full and enjoyable practice.
I wanted to create space to listen where there was rejection.
Currently, I am still learning and I have been a teacher for 7 years sharing what I like most; the practice of yoga as a tool to find ourselves and feel complete, serene, present.

My classes adapt to you to balance and nourish those parts that need focus and attention; for this I combine:
Hatha - Vinyasa Yoga, an active and powerful style with which we gain strength and resistance,
Yin Yoga, passive and delicate, with which we activate our capacity for restoration,
Joint Mobilization to gain range of motion and flexibility,
Meditation and Pranayama (breathing exercises) to stabilize the mind and give coherence to the practice.
Depending on which areas you want to enhance, we will give more focus to a restorative or strengthening approach.
The objective is to generate harmony in mind and body while respecting your individuality, that's why the approach is functional; we will use adaptations, supports and variants.
No frustrations or stress; we'll focus on your possibilities generating a little bit of a challenge to learn and advance at your pace. With kindness, love and finesse.
This way we get a complete and deep practice regardless of your situation.
I assure you that there is a yoga for you; I am at your disposal so that you can discover it for yourself.

Perfect! Gran profesora! Se nota mucho cariño y empatía durante sus clases, siempre tiene variantes que ofrecerte si no llegas a una postura, además he notado una gran mejoría tanto en musculatura como en flexibilidad, mayor conexión con mi cuerpo y mejor capacidad pulmonar. Muy recomendable!

Ari es una profesora fantástica que tiene la capacidad de adaptarse a cada alumno y en cada clase nos observa para acompañarnos y motivarnos. Yo solo puedo decir que al acabar cada clase estoy mejor que al inicio. Una suerte contar con Ari.

Di clases con Ariana para mejorar unas dolencias en columna por hernia discal y noté una gran mejoría. El trato fue muy agradable y cariñoso, fue muy comprensiva conmigo. La recomiendo 100%. Nunca había dado clases de yoga y tenia una idea equivocada, afortunadamente con ella cambio el concepto que tenía y estoy muy contenta.
