About Ivy
I have 7 years of experience teaching guitar, supported by a Bachelor’s in Music and a Master’s in Guitar Performance. My journey began with a strong passion for music and playing. Over time, I developed a teaching approach that focuses on clarity and steady progress.
My teaching style is simple and supportive. I believe every student can learn with the right guidance. I use clear explanations, easy exercises, and regular encouragement to help students improve. I also create a comfortable environment where students feel confident learning.
Outside of teaching, I continue to practice and explore new music styles. This helps me bring fresh ideas into my lessons. Teaching guitar is meaningful to me because I see students grow in skill and confidence. Helping them enjoy music and feel proud of their progress is very rewarding.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students build strong basics while enjoying the learning process. I begin with chord shapes, strumming patterns, and finger placement using clear and simple explanations. I guide students step by step so they can play comfortably. We also work on rhythm exercises to improve timing and coordination. Each lesson is calm and supportive, helping students build confidence gradually.
As students progress, I introduce more techniques such as fingerstyle playing, smooth transitions, and tone control. We explore different music styles so students can find what they enjoy. I include song practice and guided exercises to improve accuracy and confidence. Lessons are always adjusted to match the student’s pace.
My goal is to help students become confident and expressive guitar players. I support them in building both technical skills and creativity. Over time, students play more naturally and understand music better. I create an encouraging space where they feel motivated to improve, explore, and enjoy their musical journey.
