I'm a 47-year-old dad of 2 who's just moved to Chester. I am a digital designer for a living - only because I'm yet to make it in the music world, to be honest! I'm obsessed with music. Adore Rock, Indie, Blues - all the classics through to modern gems. I have played in many bands, recorded many songs, released a few along the way.

I'm a lifelong music obsessive. I’ve played piano since I was 8, inspired by my grandma — a legendary Liverpool street musician known as Teddy Dance. She raised £50k for a hospital scanner just by playing whatever songs people shouted out. She passed her love of music on to me, and I’ve been hooked ever since. From there, I picked up guitar and bass, played in loads of bands, and even released a few songs along the way. I believe music should be fun — never a chore. It’s a joyful escape. I’m into Rock, Indie, Blues, Soul — from 60s classics to indie gems and underground greats. In our lessons, I’ll teach you the basics of rhythm or lead guitar and set you up with the tools to keep learning and developing your own style. Whether you're just starting or want to take it further, I’ll help you find your own voice on the guitar. I also offer songwriting guidance — from how to structure a track to recording your own demos. We’ll break down inspiring songs and figure out what makes them great. My lessons work around you. No rigid grades or boring drills (though yes, we’ll learn a few chords here and there!). Whether you want to jam, write, or just get more confident on the guitar, I’ll make sure it’s creative, relaxed, and — most importantly — fun. Teaching is for: Beginners - adults or kids People early on in their playing who want some ideas and inspiration to get better Players who want to write songs I will teach Guitar - which is my main instrument Also happy to teach the basics of Piano, keys or Bass Also teach songwriting and can help with demo recording tips.
