About Sarah
I originally went to college because I wanted to be a high school math teacher. Along the way to get my BS degree, I started tutoring at my college's tutoring center. I worked there for 3.5 years, and had appointments with students in classes from college algebra all the way to Calculus 4. In Grad school I was a TA for 3 semesters, holding my own office hours so that students could ask questions and get help in the classes. In my final semester I taught an intro to Statistics course for humanities students and did my very best to make myself available to any questions my students had.

I am here because I genuinely want to help students understand new or difficult math topics. Lessons are best suited for those in Algebra 1 to Calculus 2. It is my goal to help students become more confident in their math skills and succeed in their courses. Typically, a session with me is for 1 hour. We'd start by getting to know each other, with me asking specific questions on how you best learn and understand things. Then, we'd move into working on the topics that are most important to you. Finally, we would have a recap of our session and make a game plan on how to move forward with the topic or within your class.
