About Tilly
I graduated from the bachelor of biomedicine at the university of Melbourne last year. I am now taking a year off studying before I hopefully begin studying veterinary science.
I graduated year 12 in 2020 with an ATAR of 95. I completed units 3 and 4 of biology in 2019 and received a study score of 36.
I am well versed in the content of all VCE science subjects, having completed biology, chemistry, physics and environmental science and having studied these further throughout my degree.
I hated science up until I was in year 10 and so I want to tutor students in order to foster the same love for science that I have since gained. I really struggled with understanding the bigger picture and seeing the relevance of what I was learning and I think I would have gained a lot from having a tutor such as myself to guide my learning and to help me gain an appreciation for science and biology in particular.

I will teach lessons by guiding students to work through problems. My goal will be for them to think their way through questions with my guidance, but they will ultimately be reaching the solutions themselves. This will instill confidence in them and prepare them best for facing similar problems in the future.
I have not formally tutored before, however I have tutored my three younger sisters and some friends so I do have some experience in teaching them. I have recently also graduated from the Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne so I have a deep and up to date understanding of the content I will be teaching.
I am looking to teach anyone in year 9 or higher. I believe for students in higher year levels I will be better suited to those who are struggling or aiming for extra support as opposed to students aiming for the absolute top marks.
