About Isaac
I am a Professional tutor of Maths and Physics who has always enjoyed teaching science and maths. I started tutoring while I was studying for my own A-levels and have been teaching and studying maths and physics ever since!
I have been tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics at a local Secondary School for the past year. This has involved teaching group classes and tutoring individuals as an intervention measure to help students who's education has suffered over the recent pandemic. This exposure to a large number of students has provided me with invaluable teaching experience.
I have also been tutoring Maths and Physics privately with students of a range of abilities and interests for the past three years from my family home.
Students of mine have achieved wonderful results that I'm very proud of including As and A*s, they've also gone on to study Physics, Maths and other STEM subjects at leading Russel Group UK Universities and attain top marks including first class degrees! Toby for example, achieved an A* in maths under my tutelage and went on to study Theoretical Physics at the University of Bristol where he achieved a first class in his degree.

My teaching method consists of first identifying key areas that my students need particular help with in order to create an efficient lesson plan before going through example questions and past paper questions in detail with then until they have the confidence and ability to ace questions by themselves.
Learning maths is about gaining a deeper understanding of patterns and structures in the world and drawing connections between concepts that seemed previously unrelated which is why I like to illustrate examples of the applicability of maths in real world settings.
It's important to me that my students not only obtain a proficiency in maths and physics and grades that will set them up for their futures, but if they so wish, a deeper interest in and understanding of the subject. I am flexible and patient and understand that students are varied in their educational needs and love helping students achieve their goals whatever those might be.
