About Georgia

I've been "performing" ever since I could stand in my high chair (trust me, I've seen video evidence).
But having had my confidence knocked in school, I took a while to find my place as a professional actor.

Now, with over ten years acting experience and having recently graduated from the highly acclaimed One Year Acting Course at the Oxford School of Drama (Ella Bruccoleri, Richard Gadd, Claire Foy and Tanya Reynolds are amongst its alumni), I've developed a huge bank of tools and techniques with which I use in my own acting practice every day, and I've come back to the belief that I have always been a storyteller.

I have several years' experience teaching both children and adults, including ESL lessons, and I really find it so energising and fulfilling to share my knowledge and passion with others.

About the class

Acting - contrary to popular belief - is not about being someone else, it's about being yourself in someone else's shoes.

Through open exploration of practitioners such as Uta Hagen and Rudolf Laban, your toolkit for self-expression will be amplified and together, we can uncover the truth of the scene.

I can also teach LAMDA exam preparation and my up-to-date knowledge of the industry has proven to be very useful when choosing the self-selected piece.

Whether it's drama school auditions, LAMDA exams or just a love of the craft, I'd love to help you in your acting journey and share my toolkit with you.

*I also have experience and qualifications in teaching ESL so if you are learning English or grappling with an accent, I can help!

Georgia is such a star and wonderful knitting tutor - kind, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. Well, it started with knitting and progressed into patch work and blinds, apparently there isn’t anything Georgia can’t help with…. She creates such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, and always takes the time to explain things clearly, no matter your skill level (mine was non-existent!). Her passion for knitting and crafts really shines through, and she makes every session enjoyable as well as inspiring. If you're looking for someone supportive, talented, and encouraging to learn from, I couldn't recommend her more highly.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Georgia. She is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and supportive, creating a comfortable learning environment where I feel confident to ask questions and develop my skills.

Each lesson is well-structured and tailored to my level, and I have seen a significant improvement in both my confidence and sewing/ pattern cutting abilities since starting. Georgia's attention to detail, encouragement, and passion for sewing make every session enjoyable and productive.

I would highly recommend Georgia to anyone looking to learn sewing, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your existing skills. Thank you for sharing your expertise and making the learning process such a positive experience!
