About Shannon
I have a bachelor’s degree in Music (Vocal Performance) from LIU Post. Here I studied with professors who also taught at Juliard and Manhattan School of Music or were professional, working musicians themselves! Studying with them gave me the tools I now have to pass on to my voice and piano students for the last 10 years!
I also have a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from LIU Post and I am professionally certified Birth-6th grade in NYS. Here I got to experience various methods of teaching and I have hand selected little bits from each method to create my own unique teaching style! I am currently in my 8th year teaching and have the most experience in Pre-K-3rd grade!

I make learning fun! Most of the time, my students don’t even realize that they’re learning a new skill! The time spent with me is going to fly by because of the amount of hands on engagement the students will participate in!
I also love to put students in the drivers seat! They feel a sense of pride and ownership surrounding their learning when they work with me! All growth is positive growth and deserves to be celebrated!
