About William
My French journey began in high school and continued when I went to college. I graduated with a degree in French and Francophone studies with a minor in Urban Education from Santa Clara University. While in college, I spent a semester in Dakar, Senegal studying Human Rights and French. I spent the last three years of undergrad as a tutor and as a teacher's assistant in beginner, intermediate, and upper level French courses. After graduation, I spent three months doing work exchanges with families in rural areas of France. I have worked with students ages 3-18+ since I was sixteen years old in various inside and outside the classroom roles. I am extremely patient and understanding when it comes to working with students. I am here to meet you where you are and to help in any way that I can.

The process of learning a foreign language can be extremely rewarding while at the same time frustrating. I worked as a teacher's assistant and tutor in beginner, intermediate, and upper division French classes at university working with students during these times of frustration. My goal as a tutor is to meet students where they are and help them believe that they are capable of so much more. I specialize in beginner and intermediate grammar to help students build a solid base in the French language.
