About Julian
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music from California Lutheran University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was named to the Dean’s List every year. As a skilled multi-instrumentalist, I have a strong foundation in music theory, production, and performance, with over six years of experience in stage setup and live show support, as well as a year of radio hosting. My performance specialties include Keyboard, Bass guitar, and Vocals, and I’m well-versed in sight-reading, conducting, and film music history, as well as music history as a whole. Additionally, my background in jazz theory and fluency in jazz standards have shaped my musical voice and improvisational ability across genres. My greatest strengths lie in my adaptability, organization, and collaboration. I bring a balance of artistic sensitivity and technical proficiency—especially in radio and music production—that makes me a reliable contributor in both creative and logistical settings. Above all, I am passionate about music and communication, always seeking new ways to connect with audiences and support the arts community.

If a student is struggling with a piece or concept, I won’t hesitate to sing or play alongside them, helping to build their confidence and comfort. While it’s easy to hand over a piece and say, “Start practicing,” I believe real growth comes from knowing your instructor is right there with you—offering encouragement, guidance, and gentle nudges forward. I strive to be that kind of teacher: present, supportive, and invested in each student’s journey.
