I have only good words for Michalis. I met him in 2019 and since then we have shared comments and suggestions on our works, as well as having painted outdoors on several occasions. I can assure you that he is not only a good painter, but also a lucid and extremely knowledgeable person, a virtue he will undoubtedly share with his students. He is one of those few teachers capable of applying his ideas with practical examples without neglecting the personality of each of his students.

I have known Michaelis for more than two years, as a colleague of his as an artist. I visited him many times in his studio and watched him paint and work; we had many deep conversations about art and painting, conceptually and technically, and he is one of the nicest, warmest and most patient people I've known. I can tell you he is a very skilled painter and experienced, but more than that, you would get an incredibly thoughtful, kind, and warm-hearted tutor who will teach you how to paint and go deeper in your painting. We both completed the same MFA Fine Art programme at Goldsmiths, and I highly recommend Michalis Karaiskos as a tutor. Apart from his painting/drawing skills (which are self-evident - just check his online portfolio), Michalis is generally passionate about art theory and history, philosophy, studies on materials and art media. I am sure that his passion and energy might be as fruitful for his students as his hard skills, and will motivate and inspire them for further development of their practice.
