About Ashraf
I am a full-time secondary school Physics teacher with a Qualified Teacher’s Status (QTS), born and raised in the heart of East London, Brick Lane. I wish to be an example for young coloured males growing up in deprived areas. I want to prove to them that it is possible to achieve your dreams and ambitions regardless of race, religion or financial background.
I attended the University of Greenwich where I obtained an accredited degree in BSc. Biomedical Science (Hons). I am an avid and active member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and National Education Union. Hereby, I possess strong elements of passion, commitment and knowledge towards science which enables me to reflect on Biology, Physics and Chemistry as a trifecta of power when teaching my students.
I am a young, ambitious, highly-motivated and bilingual individual with over 7 years’ worth of tutoring experience. My communication skills and behaviour management techniques in and outside the classroom enable me to interact with different age groups from all walks of life to promote optimal learning.
Additionally, I can speak fluent Bengali and basic Turkish. I have experience in teaching ages 7-11+ (Maths, English and Science); also teaching GCSE Physics, Biology, Maths and English Language at 11-16+; I can conduct in-depth A-level Biology and Physics sessions; I possess an advanced knowledge and understanding of Biomedical Sciences. In regard to this, I am updated and familiar with popular exam boards and specifications used in the UK (AQA, OCR, Edexcel, etc.)
I grew up in London, a city where crime amongst the youth has been on a dramatic rise over the decades. I am not unfamiliar to social, political and cultural challenges that young people face everyday. I am determined to remind these students that education is not just their way out of whatever endeavours they may be facing now and later - but to also stimulate a passion for science, to spark an interest in it so strong that they push all boundaries to achieve success.
I work very closely with my clients providing regular feedback of progress and attainment. During our first session, I will thoroughly assess what outcomes can be reached and how many sessions it will take. My tutoring sessions are tailored and suited based on the needs of the individual I am working with.

Perfect! Fresh Start
My son is a reluctant learner who has not had the best school experience. However, in the short time that Ashraf has been tutoring him we have already seen positive changes. My son actually does the homework that Ashraf sets, appears to be more motivated and feels confident he will get the grade he needs at GCSE to enable him to do A-Levels. Professional, friendly and supportive, i would recommend Ashraf for any student who needs greater understanding and application of the principles.
