About Lisa
I hold a Masters Degree in Medical Anthropology from the University of London SOAS, a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a certification in Functional Medicine Health Coaching. After years of experience working as a case manager in social services, individual counselling and leading support group sessions, I have pursued my interest in health and nutrition to look at ways I could help people become their best selves through functional medicine coaching.
I am trained in motivational interviewing and have extensive experience with mindfulness meditation. I feel it is really important to put the person seeking coaching first. My role is to to help them identify, simplify and clarify their goals. I see myself as an expert in change and inspiration, but my clients as the experts in what is truly important and motivating for them. I help people discover their inner truth and develop a path to strive toward it.

I start introductory sessions by assessing what health or wellbeing problems my clients want to address, and by setting some goals they want to achieve. We then work together for several sessions via incremental changes and achievable goals, addressing any obstacles or difficulties that crop up along the way. I am particularly interested in working with people suffering from autoimmune illnesses, weight gain and mental ill health as these are situations where functional medicine can make a huge impact. However, I am happy to work with anyone who is interested in simply improving their health and wellbeing.
