About Abi

HOLA! I am pleased to present myself to you. I am a native Spanish speaker with a broad educational background and with more than fifteen years of teaching experience, some of which I devoted to teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I believe that I am thoroughly prepared to help you with your Spanish learning project. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Industrial University of Santander, Colombia and a Master in Humanities from the Pontifical University of Madrid, Spain, in both of which, I obtained outstanding academic results. I have very good organizational skills and positive references. I have been given leadership roles in organizing academic events, delivering Spanish courses for a variety of students from diverse backgrounds and skill sets, and at different stages in their Spanish learning processes. I consider myself a very responsible and enthusiastic person with a sincere commitment and vocation for the teaching profession. I will do my utmost best if given the opportunity to work with you.

About the class

My proficiencies include the development of creative and engaging lesson plans that incorporate fun activities to cultivate a highly motivated learning environment among the students, all of which have taken place in a relaxed atmosphere that promotes socialization and real-world situations as well as open dialogues.

I had the pleasure of taking Spanish lessons with Abi prior to my trip to South America.

Abi structures her lessons in a very fun and engaging way, that built my Spanish conversational skills. Which in turn helped me to adapt faster to converse with the locals in both Colombia and Peru.

She went above and beyond to tailor a lesson that worked best for me.
