About Sophie
-- I am a beginner tutor with relevant qualifications and a desire to help others enhance their skills and gain confidence in their English or French abilities! --
I have experience in helping young students to read. This developed my patience a lot! Plus, I thoroughly enjoy it. I have been learning languages all my life (so I can completely empathise with all you language learners!), but also, I have been studying the English language further. This has given me excellent understanding of the language (in terms of its patterns, its grammar and all its details).
I have done A-Level French and achieved 'A', as well as 'A*' at GCSE, with my grades being evenly spread across speaking, listening, reading and writing exams. It is my favourite language and although I am not a native speaker of French, I am perfectly confident to teach beginner-intermediate students. The best thing is I have been through the process of learning French myself, so have the best tips and tricks and will no doubt completely understand their struggles.

Lessons are heavily based on conversational spoken language which is important because it is the most commonly-utilised aspect of language learning.
However, written language skills are often equally as important (depending on the reason for your study) and I believe it is vital to developing your accuracy.
