During the great time at SungKyunKwan University in Seoul for BA and at King's College London for MSc, I have had many opportunities to mingle with hundreds of people from various backgrounds with diverse experience. Through all my experience in teaching Korean, I believe in one thing - learning language shouldn't be academic but practical. Being regularly exposed to the situation where you listen to and speak a foreign language is the best way to get used to the language, and that is the start.
I will ask each student their preferences, interests and the motivation to learn Korean, and then we will use those as our main source for our sessions. If you are into K-pop, we will sing the song together and learn the lyrics and some background story sometimes. If you are into Korean food, we will learn a recipe every week and will make our own cookbook.
