About Livia
My passion for French grew from a love of language, literature, and cultural exploration. I earned a B.A. in French Studies and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics, equipping me with both scholarly knowledge and effective teaching methods. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped learners develop fluency, comprehension, and appreciation for the French language and Francophone cultures.
I adopt a patient, adaptable, and interactive teaching style. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s needs, incorporating practical exercises, speaking practice, cultural insights, and reading comprehension. My goal is to help students feel confident, capable, and motivated in their language learning journey.
Outside the classroom, I engage with French through literature, media, travel, and cultural studies. Teaching is deeply rewarding because I witness students transform from hesitant learners to confident speakers, capable of communicating fluently and effectively. Supporting learners in achieving practical fluency and cultural awareness is at the heart of my work.
