About Darby

My name is Darby Brown. I hold a BA in Spanish from Butler University and have 2+ years of experience with teaching Spanish. I also hold the global seal of biliteracy for functional fluency in Spanish and have lived in Spain for four months. I'm passionate about community engagement and creating fun and exciting classroom environments, so I love connecting with students.

About the class

My Spanish lessons are adapted to the needs of the student. I spend the majority of the first lesson discussing expectations, goals, and action plans with my student and moving forward rapidly from there. I can assist with reading comprehension, grammar (including conjugation practise), vocabulary, speaking, writing, and/or listening, depending on your needs. I like to use a variety of tools and exercises to increase fluency.

I worked with Darby in the U.S. before she relocated to the U.K. She is a caring and passionate person. I have witnessed first-hand how well Darby engages with others and uses thought-provoking exercises to fuel their creative thinking and development. I have seen her do this in both group and one-on-one settings. I recommend her whole-heartedly.
