About Amy
My name is Amy and I am a passionate fisheries research scientist based in the Northern Territory. My particular expertise lies in shark and ray fisheries, along with Threatened Species. I have been passionate about sharks and rays and science since I was little growing up on the coast in Western Australia. I have been tutoring, teaching, lecturing and running outreach programs for the last 7 years in various different formats. I have always been enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge and learning all I can from my students.

Teaching school students about animal tracking and animal movement ecology •outreach workshop at the Charles Darwin University Science Fair during National Science Week •plan and run a pilot science outreach program in remote communities around the Northern Territory over 18 months. The aim of this program was to introduce students in schools to western sustainable fisheries management and to gain an understanding from students about fishing in their communities through open communication.
