About Alisha

I’m a law graduate from the University of Nottingham. I tutor IELTS and TOEFL preparation, and I help students with IGCSE and IB essays and university application essays, including UCAS personal statements.

Studying law taught me how to write clearly, build a strong argument and explain complex ideas simply. I love passing these skills on to my students. Having studied in the UK, I also understand what British and international universities look for in an application.

What you can expect from me:

-Detailed, honest feedback on your writing
-Proven strategies for every section of the IELTS and TOEFL
-Help brainstorming, structuring and polishing essays that sound like you
-Friendly, patient sessions tailored to your goals and timeline

Every student learns differently, so I adapt each lesson to suit you. Whether you’re aiming for a band 8, a top IB English grade or a place at your dream university, I’d love to help you get there!

My method is personalized and tailored to the student. The first session will be about understanding your expectations, goals, and current level. From there on, we will have a mix of timed and untimed practice tests and practice on individual components. For essay writing and applications, sample successful applications will be provided and it will be centered around detailed and meticulous feedback. Essay writing is only available for IGCSE/IB English and university application help is only applicable to students applying to Canada, the US, and the UK.
