About Matilda
Hi, I’m Matilda! I am a First Class Law graduate from the University of Nottingham and a future trainee solicitor at Jones Day. I am currently completing my LLM in Legal Practice, having recently passed my SQE1 exams, scoring 90% and placing in the first quintile. During my undergraduate degree, I was also incredibly proud to be awarded university prizes for achieving top marks in my cohort for both Contract Law and Trusts.
I want to teach because I am genuinely passionate about mentorship and helping others reach their academic potential. Long before my legal career, I spent over three years developing my teaching skills as a volunteer youth gymnastics coach, and I recently served as an academic Peer Guide at my university's School of Law. I love the rewarding process of breaking down complex and intimidating subjects, building my students' confidence, and sharing the exact study strategies that helped me achieve my own academic and career goals.

My teaching methodology
My approach is highly practical, student-led, and focused heavily on exam technique. I specialise in breaking down dense, intimidating legal frameworks into clear, logical, and manageable concepts. Together, we will move beyond simply reading textbooks to focus on structuring standout essays, reverse-engineering complex problem questions, and mastering the specific demands of A-Level, LLB, and SQE assessments to ensure you secure top marks.
Standard lessons are 60 minutes. I also offer extended 90-minute or 120-minute intensive sessions for targeted exam or assignment preparation.
