Hello, I’m Diederik, an Imperial College London Mechanical Engineering graduate with a strong academic background and several years of experience helping students succeed in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. Having achieved first-class marks every year of my university degree and a place on the Dean’s List, I bring both deep subject knowledge and a high standard of academic to my tutoring. As a tutor, I focus on building real understanding rather than memorisation. I usually begin with a quick check-in, move into core teaching time, and finish with guided practice of real exam questions and a recap of key takeaways. I hold an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, graduating with first-class marks every year and making the Dean’s List. I completed the IB Diploma with 7s in HL Maths, HL Physics, and HL Chemistry, and I now tutor all three subjects at GCSE, A-Level, and IB level. My engineering background gives me a practical and intuitive way of explaining scientific and mathematical concepts, which students often find reassuring and easy to follow.
