A Financial Consultant who really enjoys teaching and helping develop people's understanding of certain subjects I am an Economics graduate teaching Year 1-11 I look to make lessons as engaging as possible and encourage growth in students' knowledge/skills no matter small Previous students include 1 A-level and 2 GCSE all of which met their target grades Offering one-to-one lessons within Oxford or online lessons Please let me know if you require any further information!

About the class

My approach centres around the 7 key principles of teaching and learning - Challenge: Making lessons engaging for the students. Avoiding cognitive overload. Mainly focusing on one of the following per lesson: skills/production, understanding/concepts, questions/knowledge - Explanation: Mastering how to explain things in a way that the student will understand - Modelling: Showing students how to do things - Practice: Students are encouraged to practise outside of lessons, otherwise progress stagnates - Feedback: Marking and providing verbal feedback - Questioning: Asking students where they think they are having issues in their work and looking to improve in those areas - Scaffolding: Techniques to move students towards a stronger understanding Lessons are scheduled for an hour but I'm more than happy to go over the allotted time if it's what the student requires

Bilal has been excellent for my brother helping him with maths: most importantly he have really enjoyed his lessons and are feeling more confident and motivated about maths as a result. He is very organised with specific and relevant questions and past papers and plans for each of them, is reliable, patient and absolutely cracks on with the lessons in a way that is also really engaging and fun for the kids. He has vastly improved his maths scores by a few grades!
