About Olivia

I am an experienced and passionate tutor based in Melbourne, with a 98.85 ATAR and a strong academic background in Physics, Mathematics, and Economics. I graduated high school as the dux of Politics, Economics, Physics, and Specialist Mathematics, and I’m currently completing my Honors year in Physics at Monash University, focusing on nanophotonics research. I completed my undergraduate degree at the Australian National University with a WAM of 80+, majoring in Physics and minoring in Mathematics, with a specialization in Advanced Physics. I also received a WACE Certificate of Distinction and was awarded dux in four subjects in high school. As a woman in STEM, I’m deeply committed to supporting and inspiring young women pursuing science and mathematics. I understand the challenges that female students in STEM can face, both academically and socially, and I strive to create a safe, encouraging environment where they feel empowered to ask questions, challenge themselves, and build the confidence they need to succeed. I aim to show my students that STEM is for everyone, and I’m passionate about helping them see their potential in these fields.

About the class

I believe that true learning comes from understanding, not rote memorisation. Our three daughters all loved being tutored by Olivia. She had the ability to understand how each daughter learnt and taught the same topic multiple ways depending on their approach to learning. Olivia played an important role in helping our girls excel in maths and physics through high school.
