About Mireia
I just finished my Master in Piano Performance at the University of Leeds, city where I am currently staying, and I have a 2.1 in my Degree of Music and Creative Studies from Bangor University, in North Wales, where I graduated with an A in my final project/practical Thesis, and right now I am working at Can Faustino five stars hotel, in Ciutadella de Menorca, as a piano performer, playing nearly everyday for the pleasure of the guests.
I have experience with students from all ages, from 6 to 45 years old, and I have been a personal teacher for the past 6 years.
About the transport fee. This only applies if it takes me longer than 20 min to get to your house by car, as normally with traffic those 20 min Google Maps promised turn up to be 30, which takes a whole hour in total. If It's through bus, the transport fee will be £5.
I am used to work with one student at the time, and face to face, but recently we have been working online, and I am happy to say that it has worked really well! The only big change we have done is that for my most advance students, where is important to listen to the "flow" of the music rather than just focusing if a note is right or wrong, when necessary they will send me just before the lesson an audio via email or Whatssap for me to check the dynamics properly, as sometimes that is the biggest issue while dealing with music lessons online. This is not a problem only I have came across, but is common in any instrumental online lessons.
So if by any reasons you cannot work face to face, don’t you worry! We will manage just fine :)

My lessons are normally 1 hour long, but I have done 1’30, and even 2 hours, and those include little breaks and fun moments to make sure we don’t over do anything and to keep the morale all the way up! I am comfortable working with both adults and children of all ages, and I have extensive experience to back my methods.
I have a Grade 8 in Piano, a Graduate on Music and Creative Studies, and a British University Master in Piano Performance. I have worked with children as little as 6 years, and with adults up to 45. My lessons are normally one to one, but I have no problem with your friend coming over or a parent staying the first lessons if needed to create a sense of safety. We can even learn something all together!
A lesson depends on what you want to learn, but a typical lesson with me starts with a quick conversation about the expectations of the day, if we had any trouble with homework, how are we feeling about this lesson, etc.
And we quickly move into checking the work of the week, with a complete run of the piece/s, and some specific points about where and how to improve certain parts.
After it, we will work in blocks; depending on the needs of the day, the mood and the importance of those parts we will focus in this or that. After it we will do another full run, set clear goals for next time, and say our goodbyes!
We can check out Chopin's nocturnes, Adele's songs, Billie Eilish hits, Operas such Carmen or The Phantom of the Opera, Ludovico Einaudi lullabies, Zelda, Minecraft, Disney, Studio Ghibli... Those are just some of the pieces I have learned myself. Ready?
