About Shea
I’ve always had a love for sports, but when I stopped playing football, I found a new passion in martial arts. I started with boxing, then quickly transitioned into kickboxing just three months later. Not long after, I dove into jiu-jitsu and MMA. That’s when everything changed for me. I wasn’t the timid footballer anymore; I had rediscovered an unshakeable confidence, something I hadn’t felt since I was a kid. It felt like a transformation, and I never looked back. I became obsessed. For the next 2-3 years, I trained 2 to 3 hours every night at my local gym, completely immersed in the game. It was easy to say no to distractions because I was so focused. My first fight, I won with a confidence that carried over into every part of my life. Everything became easier because I had overcome so much already—the pressure, the weight cut, the adversity. My mind was clear, unshakeable. Then came my first loss. It wasn’t easy, but it was a valuable lesson. I dealt with mockery and judgement from people who could never do what I had done, and I realised that their words were rooted in jealousy. Over the years, I’ve learned that the ups and downs of this sport are all part of the journey, and it’s the resilience that you build along the way that truly matters. Now, I’ve experienced the life-changing power of martial arts, and I want to share that with others. I’m passionate about helping people grow in this sport. It energises me to see my students learn, progress, and start pulling off techniques that I’ve taught them. Martial arts has transformed my life, and I want to help you experience the same growth, both physically and mentally. I’ve seen it firsthand. As an MMA coach, I see a clear difference between students who only attend classes and those who also train 1:1. The 1:1 students consistently outpace the others, improving faster in skill and confidence. I only wish I had that opportunity when I was younger, and now I’m here to help you experience that growth.

In my MMA 121 lessons, each session is tailored specifically to your goals and needs. You have the option to arrive 15 minutes early to warm up, which helps prevent injury and prepares you for an effective workout. As we build rapport, I’ll be able to identify areas for improvement and personalise the training to help you progress faster. The sessions offer variety, depending on what needs focus, whether it’s technique, conditioning, or mental toughness. You’ll leave each class feeling accomplished with new skills, having gotten a great workout, and boosting your confidence – which carries over into all areas of your life.
