About JAMES
At JB Barbell we create well-rounded fitness experiences through our premiere coaching, programming, and tight-knit community.
When I began my fitness journey, I started at a standard gym with the basic goal to look and feel better. Unfulfilled in this environment, I eventually discovered cross-training, which was challenging yet very achievable. Every movement was able to be scaled for beginners, which meant that the workouts were only as intense as I wanted them to be.Until that point, I had thought of myself as healthy. When I tried cross-training, it also changed the way I thought about food. Knowing the positive effect it would have on each day’s workout, eating healthier became easier. Looking physically fit is just one side benefit you will experience from this style of training. Now, since becoming very involved with cross-training, I have been able to express my passion through competitions.
I have experience participating in many types: from 5Ks to full marathons; weightlifting meets to CrossFit competitions; triathlons; obstacle races; and more. My most important challenge at this point is to help others achieve their fitness goals as well, and to share everything that I have learned.
I used to compete and after spending so much of my free time at the gym i know it's what i wanted to do.
I hold a level one Crossfit certifcation and a Crossfit Olympic lifting Certification.
