About Benita
Be Free Passion Yoga is a space where yoga and passion meets,traveling on and off the mat. The goal of Be Free Passion Yoga is to bring yoga and travel into the everyday persons life; informing the world about the practicability and accessibility of both. I enjoy bringing joy to people's lives and hearing I feel so amazing in my body right now.
I began practicing yoga while living abroad, in Abu Dhabi, to deal with the stress of living so afar from my family and friends. As I began to enjoy yoga, I started sharing my new found passion with the students I was teaching; after witnessing the calming effects the practice had in myself and my pre-k students I vowed to become certified in yoga. Two years after moving back to the United State, I decided to get certified. I applied for a scholarship with In-Powered to bring yoga to the high school and was awarded the scholarship; after that the rest is history.
I received my 200 hour teacher training certificate from Big Teacher Empowerment Program in 2016. I recently received Alchemy Crystal Bowl Level One training from Crystal Bowl Gallery.

When working with a new student I like to first find out their reason for Practiving yoga and their goals. After our discussion I create a program based on their goals. I also, check in with my new students bi-weekly to see how they are feeling in their body.
I have worked with a variety of clients, my clientele has ranged from kids as young as 8 and as wise as 75. Many students range with different levels some experience and some new to yoga. Regardless of the person my goal is to bring mindfulness and a feeling of joy to their lives mentally and physically.
Finding a teacher is like finding the perfect dress, there are many beautiful dresses in the world, but you have to try them on to see which one fits you the best.
A recent event I am fond of was sharing my new passion sound bowl healing with a friend for her birthday. After showering my friend with a meditation and a sound bowl session, she exclaimed "I felt like you just massage my mind". Hearing her calmest and enjoyment about the one on one session brought joy to my soul.

Benita definitely has a teacher’s heart. She is very informative, patient, and is passionate about what she does. Knowing very little about sound baths, I did not know what to expect. However, my experience was very positive and allowed my mind and body to enter a state of relaxation I didn’t even know I needed. I will definitely use her services again in the near future.
Benita always starts her classes with excellent warmup. Her voice tone is always claim as she call the poses and give alternative ways of during the poses. She always end her classes with positive words.
