About Don
I tailor my training to each student, I don't have a mass curriculum. I focus on skills that are usable in real life. I run classes for all skill levels and have basic and advanced courses for Handgun, Rifle, and Shotgun.
I feel the training I provide can make the difference between life and death for my students. Although I hope it never comes to that I feel it is important to have the training to protect yourself and your loved ones.
I've been instructing in some capacity since I was 14 years old as a JROTC cadet, it was only recently that I found that firearms instruction is where I really shine.
I've been shooting for 14 years and training new shooters for the past 4 years. I shoot competitively and was raised in a law enforcement family by competitive shooters as well.

I first like to assess the student's skill level and get them comfortable handling the firearm. After some dry fire drills I'll introduce live ammo and we will practice basic marksmanship skills. From there whenever I feel it is appropriate we'll move on to more advanced drills, all while maintaining focus on the basics of shooting.
I work with students of all ages and genders. I train a lot of new, first-time shooters as well as advanced level and experienced marksmen. There's always something that can be improved, no matter your skill level.
Just be safe and have fun. While training with firearms is a serious topic, it should never be something that's intimidating or difficult. Some instructors like to throw students in the deep end right off the bat and that's not conducive to skill-building. On the other end of the spectrum you have instructors that may work through lessons too slowly, and the student is stuck learning at half speed. I do my best to tailor each lesson to the progress of the student, so that he/she can get the most out of my training.
One of my recent students, having never fired a gun before, within the course of one lesson was able to shoot on the move and demonstrate advanced handgun tactics. It was incredible to see their skills develop so quickly in just a matter of hours.

Don was great at communicating and teaching both introductory and more advanced procedures.
Donnie does great lessons. Very good at identifying weaknesses and running you through the drills needed to strengthen those weak points. Will definitely be attending another session it not multiple.
Donny is very thorough with the everything from the basics to drills and is happy to communicate in a way that made me feel that I was both learning/ progressing and that I wasnt missing any information! Had a great time and know exponentially more than before.
Don at Archangel Tactical helped me familiarize myself with the basics of rifle control and build a foundation to stand on. Being a new shooter, I required a great deal of patience and even after my first training session I was already feeling more confident shooting. Don has a wealth of knowledge and a great demeanor that helped my work through the basics of firearm etiquette and propel me toward proficiency. I hope to one day compete in 3 gun and rifle competitions and I have no doubt that the skills taught at archangel tactical will build the skill base necessary for success. I started with a simple rifle class but now I look forward to branching out and taking handgun courses as well. I couldn't be happier with my training experience and look forward to my next session!

So much! Donnie is very good at meeting their students where they are at (skill wise) and he let’s you learn on your own while still being incredibly helpful as a teacher. I’m getting better very quickly and bows aren’t even his specialty. Very impressive and fun individual!!

Details
Lesson price is dictated by a couple factors. While I realize not everybody has access to their own firearm, I do offer rentals for shotgun rifle and pistol. These rentals and ammunition for the lesson is included in the lesson price. If the student has access to their own firearms and ammunition I will drop the price since I will not have to provide those items.
