I avoid labeling my tutoring style, as I like to use elements of all approaches in my classes. Tutors and students have diverse personalities, therefore I try to connect with the person and evaluate their needs, strengths, and pace - one of the main advantages of private tutoring.
With that said, CLT is a great approach I like to use, but grammar is also an integral part of my programs. It is a foundation that can give confidence to learners using a new language - at any level. Conversational activities are just as important - this balance facilitates the learning process and mastery of all four major skills.

Bachelor's Degree in Social Communications - Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-RJ)
