About Jiesong
We are a small group of NYU students who are passionate about helping students realize their full academic potential. Our tutors are pre-Med, pre-Law, and Economics students, perfect scorers on the SATs and ACTs, and certified TESOL educators; our years of tutoring experience has also prepared us well to help all students succeed. We are happy to work with students on English, math, science, economics, computer science, standardized test prep, and more! I started tutoring English to Chinese students starting high school. I found it incredibly rewarding to use my experience to help others achieve their goals. Now that I'm in university, I want to continue that journey and help some people out with their ACT prep and general tutoring.

I always start by getting to know the student. What classes do they take? What classes do they enjoy the most? I tailor my prep sessions to help the student understand their strengths and weaknesses, and develop effective strategies to help them improve.
There's a lot of great tutors out there, but the most important thing is to find someone who cares. Tutoring differs from teaching because it's supposed to be tailored to each individual student. A great tutor learns your strengths and weaknesses and adjusts their methods to suit your needs.

Jason was very understanding and immediate to my concerns. We worked through examples as available and he gave me things to work on as needed. I did relatively well on my final exam!
