About Sarah
Hi! My name is Sarah Xi, and I am currently a student at Columbia University in the City of New York pursuing a degree in Chemistry. I am a lifelong learner, particularly in all things science and tech, and I have tutored students of all ages in the past. In high school, I scored a 1590 on my SAT, as well as an 800 on the SAT Math II and a 770 on SAT Chemistry. During the school year, I am a volunteer art instructor for underprivileged children in New York City, and I love working with kids.
Throughout my whole life, I've always been asked to offer help in my math and science classes. As I grew older, I came to realize that I really enjoy working with children, helping them learn, and hopefully making a difference in their lives.
I am currently studying Chemistry at Columbia University, and in high school, I took and got a 5 on every major science AP course. I am also a volunteer art teacher for children in New York City, and I have previously tutored students of various ages in Math and Chemistry.

The most important thing is to talk with the student and/or their parents, so I can get a feel for what their goals are in tutoring. I will also gauge the student's current level or progression towards that goal. From there, we can work out a schedule, as well as some goals to meet along the way, so that we can track that the student is making progress.
