About Sahar
Hello! I am a second year medical student and am passionate about teaching STEM subjects. I teach virtually which has been very beneficial for my students since I could record our meetings for them to review and easily schedule appointments. I would appreciate your support as I am a broke medical student!

I started teaching my cousin math when I was in middle school and since then my passion and impact have grown.
I have been tutoring on this website for over a year and have worked with dozens of students here. I also have experience working as a Learning Assistant for Organic Chemistry for 3 semesters during undergrad. Additionally, I worked as a STEM educator for the Children's Science Center and conducted Girl Scouts workshops for Engineering and Science badges for 2 years.

First off, I ask the students how they learn best so I can tailor my teaching methods to best suit them. Next, I ask the student about the areas they need the most help with and what their academic goals are. If there are many knowledge gaps, I would ask them to rank the top 3 topics so we can start there. I would also be sure to match the pace of the student because I want to make sure they are able to follow along with the content.
I have worked with students from elementary school all the way to college. I also have experience working with students with learning disabilities.
Make sure you are comfortable with the tutor. You should be able to tell your tutor to slow down or reiterate concepts because it is about you succeeding in your class!
An event I am fond of is how everyone came together during this pandemic at the clinic I work at. I have never seen so many people be so self-less and the doctors I have worked with will forever inspire me to act in the same manner.
