About Solomon

Hi there I am Solomon "Hawk" Baxter!

I am a senior in high school t who loves Mathematics. I have taken a math course every year of highschool. This past semester I completed AP Calculus. I am a very hard working student, and all my teachers would say the same.

I also play soccer and am the team captain for both my high school and club teams, whcih has been a great to improve my leadership skills. I will be playing college soccer next fall, hopefully at Macalester College, which is highly regarded in its academics.

During the summer I work as a counselor for sports camp in Portland, OR. I love working with kids and helping them learn and grow along the way. I also provide private soccer trainings for kids back home in Portland Oregon.

Right now I am living with my mom in Bali, Indonesia so all of the sessions would have to be online (Due to COVID im sure that would be the case regardless)

I may not have the most experience in the field of tutoring, but, I am a super positive, and hardworking kid who loves teaching kids and watching them learn and grow.

I just love working with kids in general. I find joy in watching someone learn and grow. I know that seems repetetive from my bio, but I really feel as though thats the truth.

Well I have been coaching at the summer camps for 4 years and I have been doing private trainings for 2 years.

I have taken math every year of highschool and recieved and A in each of those courses. I have also work a lot with kids; as a summer camp counselor, as a private trainer for soccer, and as a PE instructor

I like to introduce myself and really take time to know what kind of a student they are and how they learn the best. and then start off with getting a feel with areas they are more comfortable with and then move into what areas they want to impro9ve on

I have mostly worked with intermediate level players when doing private trainings, but when I am coaching at the camps there are a wide range of ages and personalities.

Look for someone who is patient, but also excited and eager to help.

I have been working with a client in private trainings for sometime now, and one day following the weekend of a game, he told me that he played well in bhis game and felt like he has been improving through our work together. This made me so happy, to see the progress he had made!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What do I want to learn?

What areas do I want to improve in?

What areas am I already succeeding in?

How do I learn the best?

Becsause I am new to the line of work I dont have a set price, but if you as a parent feel as though I am the right fit we can talk about a price. I would most likely sway toward the cheaper side, just because of my inexperince
