About Lukas
As an undergraduate I taught an introductory statistics course to underclassmen for 3 semesters before my graduation. I got a lot of experience teaching one on one and in a classroom setting.
One part that helps me stand out is that the students I taught were not math/stats majors, and were simply taking the class because it was a requirement. That makes teaching a lot more difficult, and I took pride in making my students feel engaged with the subject.
It matters to me that my students don't feel threatened by math or stats and are able to fight through the overwhelming feeling that comes from struggling with math.
I enjoy taking math or stats and placing it into simpler terms and bite size pieces for a student to take hold of. I get a lot of pride out of the fact that a student can learn how to do math that they previously thought they couldn't.
I've taught 61 students introductory statistics at a college level. Very few of them were stats majors, which added an extra challenge of getting the students intersested and involved in their own learning.
