About Tyler
With a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Master's Degree in Statistics and several years in the classroom as an instructor I know how to relay and display information to make it easy to take in and understand!
I love problem solving and playing games! Each new problem is a fantastic new puzzle to be solved, you don't always get it right the first time, but when you do, its Fantastic!
I have always been involved with daycare or summer camp but began teaching after I graduate from Christopher Newport University. I continued through my Masters Degree and tutored for the University math club. I've always loved helping people solve problems and find answers in math.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, a Master's Degree in Statistics, I have taught Geometry and Pre-calculus at the high school level and College Algebra for the University of West Florida and Pensacola State College.

For me finding out where you are as a student is important, what do you know, what do you struggle with? I will start by asking a lot of questions about you academically and there are no wrong answers. Everyone starts somewhere and asking for help is always a noble thing to do.
I have worked in the public school system of newport news and Pensacola, Florida so I have seen just about every student. Whether they are on a particular education plan or have failed the class in the past, I successfuly interact with all students.
Look for someone that you think you can ask silly questions to or look for confidence when you are unsure. Learning can be a very vulnerable process so its important that you find someone who really understands that and is willing to put in the time and effort into helping you really understand the material.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
When you talk to teachers, remember they want you to be successful too. The earlier the better, they can do more for you when you let them know as soon as you know that you are struggling. Also, have a specific question in mind, or maybe a topic or chapter that you struggled with, that way they can send you in the right direction.

Lessons are, unless otherwise requested, one hour, this gives us time to sit down and really have good engaging discussions about the topic. The first lesson or hour is $20.00 and if you wish to continue, every lesson afterwards is $30.00. This is general pricing, I am generally flexible.
