Communication is key.
The student will tell what he/she wants to learn and I will ideate the most effective program to reach the desired result.
My way of teaching consists in giving the student the necessary tools to become independent, and be able to reason through problems alone. First I make sure the student understands the lectured material; if there are any theory doubts, we brush up on those at the beginning. For this, I will ask the student to send me what was covered in school before our class so that we can make a more efficient use of our time. Next, we will closely work together through homework problems, with the purpose of illustrating the reasoning and thought process needed to arrive to the solutions. This, together with clever tricks that I will provide, will give the student the confidence needed to tackle problems that will later appear in exams. I believe that most of the time a student struggles with math, it is because the teacher fails to motivate the subject correctly. My objective is to share the right way of teaching.

Very pleased with how clear and helpful Luciano's explanations were. We worked on my homework problems (scored 100% in all of them) and got an A on my first midterm thanks to the three weeks of tutoring we had, during which I understood how to solve problems by myself. I will keep having Luciano as my tutor for this term and the term to come!
Out of all the tutors I had Luciano was the best one. I decided to take calculus over the summer, and online classes made it hard for me to understand the material. I needed to prepare for a Statistics test and I am so glad I found Luciano! He cleared all my doubts by explaining concepts in a straightforward way that I could understand, and also helped me through homework problems I initially couldn't do. I started to study with Luciano because I struggled with mathematical analysis (calculus) courses at my university. Mostly we focused on differentiation and integrals.
He brought my practical skills to a new level: I learned how to solve basic integrals really fast and how to approach more complicated examples. He also taught me really advanced tricks such as using complex substitutions.
Luciano explained theoretical material really well too. After our classes I finally started to understand proofs of theorems which I never could understand before.
After studying with Luciano I got “A”s for two of my math exams and gained a lot of skills useful for a physicist.
Luciano promptly answered all my questions and helped with the homework. He is also very attentive and friendly.
