About Candice
I'm a friendly and enthusiastic tutor. I currently hold a valid Florida teaching certificate for mathematics 6-12. I have 5 years of math teaching experience within a Florida Public School system and 8 years as a private tutor.
I prefer to prepare prior to each tutoring session to offer my students the most bang for their buck. This would require assistance from my student through sending the material ahead, when possible.
I most enjoy exploring Algebraic concepts within Pre-Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 1&2, and other maths. I also focus on building confidence and overall math literacy regardless of the math level. A lack of confidence doesn't just hurt us on the dance floor:)
I started tutoring first. I helped family and friends and then decided to go back to school for teaching. Once I graduated, I became a Middle School Math Teacher and the real fun began:). I eventually switched to High School and I'm currently teaching Algebra and Geometry.

Hourly rates vary based on location & travel. Online tutoring is $40/hr. In person tutoring is $50/hr if the student is travels to meet near my location and starts at $50/hr if I travel to the student's location(A fee for travel is applied to the first hour of service.)
