About Ashvin
Hi students, I have experience with dozens of students & teaching styles, and will apply my experience to accelerate you! I seek to show the "Why?" behind concepts, rather than memorizing. I have extensive knowledge of Common Core, dominant in California. I’m flexible with timing and curriculum. Please reach out!
I am a continuous learner and seek to instill academic confidence and depth in my students. Countless times, reaching the “Ah ha” moment with my student motivates me to continue tutoring. I'm thrilled to work with all types of students, as I was once in their shoes.
I started teaching mathematics to my friends in AP Calculus and precalc. After realizing the immense benefit I can provide, I worked for Mathnasium Corporation, an exclusively math tutoring franchise, where I worked with hundreds of students during my time there. Now, I am a college student and tutor on my free time.
I am a double B.S. major of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at University of California, Los Angeles. As the #1 public unviversity, I have access to teaching tools and material, from my experiences and classes. Previous to this website, I tutored heavily in AP and collegiate calculus, and various levels of K12.

I assess their aptitude through a few excersizes that quickly expose gaps in learning and determine where a student is strong. If the student has a particular request or set of topics he/she desires to learn, I will start there or I will tutor according to the curriculum pace he/she learns in school.
I have worked with elementary, middle school, high school, and undergraduate students, ranging from the ages 5 to 19.
Please pick a tutor who is 1) adjustable with timing, 2) clearly knoweldgeable in your subject are, and 3) makes learning fun and also efficient. Tutoring should not be drab school 2.0, but something my students look forward to. Happy pickings!
