About Hita

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from William & Mary with a B.S. in Biology and am a member of Phi Beta Kappa for my achievements in the liberal arts. Before college, I attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, where I first discovered my love for tutoring. In high school, I tutored children in math both independently and through Best Brains Learning Center, gaining experience teaching up to the trigonometry, geometry, and algebra levels.

As a biology major, I completed a wide range of courses, including microbiology, genetic analysis, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry, that gave me strong proficiency in these subjects. This background makes me well-prepared to tutor students across the sciences as well as math at multiple levels.

I also bring experience from outside the classroom. I worked as a pediatric medical assistant during my gap year while preparing for medical school. Combined with my years of tutoring children, these experiences strengthened my ability to communicate with students of all ages and tailor explanations to their needs.

What motivates me most as a tutor is seeing a student’s confusion give way to clarity and confidence. Whether it’s my younger brother, family friends, or children I’ve taught through Best Brains, I’ve always found it deeply rewarding to help students realize their potential. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for learning with students and helping them succeed.

I have been helping my brother out with school since I began middle school. I realized I really enjoy working with kids and teaching, which is why I started tutoring independently in High School and through Best Brains Learning Center.

I have a BS in Biology from William & Mary. I have taken diverse biology classes since high school. Since I am pre-med, I have taken various chemistry courses, as well. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned membership in the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society.

I like to guage where they are in school and how much they understand the foundational concepts. Once I get an idea of what knowledge they already have, and what they have coming up, I can guide them to better understanding the unit they are working on. I also believe it is important for the student to be able to apply the concepts on their own, without help from me at all times.



I have experience working with elementary, middle school, and college students. I have also had several valuable opportunities to teach and volunteer with students with special needs.
