About Shelly

I really connect with the rider and the horse and work on their relationship together to get the most out of the ride. I have showed and placed in the Morgan Horse circuit for my entire riding career working with top trainers and horses. I also know to de stress the rider before show and get the horse and rider into best condition and preperation for the show from showmanship to performance.

I absolutely love getting to teach new skills to people especially kids or beginners and getting them to love what they do.

I have been riding  my entire life.  I rode in the Morgan Horse  Curcuit, Futurity,  Gold Cup, Worlds.  I also competed in MIHA  High school school equestrian team I made varsity coming into my freshman year.  Where I went on to place top 5  for overall winning's in the state  every single year for  Bareback, Saddleseat, English Hunt and Western.

I like to cover everything when the student is New. How to get comfortable with your horse is the most important. Everything they need to know that  you wouldnt kow if you didnt ask or accidently find out upon.  Anatomy, traits,  EVERYTHING FROM GROUND UP! I have had horses all my life. I think it's important to  bring out your vulnerability and really get get close and learn everything about your horse.

$50 an hour $40 if you do two or more hours of lessons a week. I start on time  and do the full hour that includes saddeling up your horse  or anything necessary  we need to go over if you dont know the basics.   If you do know your basics  or want specific training  I reccomend you saddle up and be ready to go when before I'm there so we can start right away on what is needed. If I do happen to be running late I always honor my hour timing.
